Production Process of Natural Sweet Shelled Almonds Our Natural Sweet Shelled Almonds (Prunus Dulcis) undergo a thorough production process that ensures the highest quality product for our customers. Firstly, the almonds are peeled through immersion in boiling water, causing the detachment of the integument, which is then removed by food-grade rubber rollers. Afterwards, the almonds are dried and cooled, and then subjected to the newest sorting machines and metal detectors to remove any non-conforming almonds or foreign bodies. Finally, the almonds are cut in half along their longitudinal axis, and sieved to discard any poorly cut almonds to guarantee the quality that our customers expect.
